Fishing at Hemet Lake

Lake Hemet is located just outside of the town of Hemet at an elevation of 4,400 feet in the San Bernadino National Forest. Hemet contains 420 surface acres of water with 12 miles of shoreline. Boating is limited to fishing boats with a minimum 10 feet in length with a 10 MPH speed restriction (no canoes, kayaks, sailboats, or inflatables). Improved launch facilities available as well as boat rentals. Hemet Lake is a popular weekend getaway with several private and public camping facilities in the area accommodating both tents and RV’s; full hookups available Trout and catfish are the primary attraction of this lake although Hemet holds a fair population of bluegill and bass as well.
