Striper Fishing in California Aqueduct

Here is a Great Spot right off of Taft Hwy. about 15 minutes west of Bakersfield.
Good striper catch here on anchovies. I have heard there are are also catfish in here but I have not caught any yet. I have also used shad and stink livers and caught stripers.

A cool video of the California Aqueduct! does anyone know the best bait and set up to use for stripers? And the best time of day and year to fish for stripers?
